Manager, Wireless Connectivity Group, Broadcom
Abstract
As the home networking market explodes in China
and around the world, Wi-Fi has become the preferred way for many
consumers to connect their computing and communications devices. But
that is just the beginning. With the advent of 802.11n, wireless
home networks can deliver innovative services and support in-home
applications that were previously impossible. This is changing the
way consumers use digital content and paving the way for a wireless
ecosystem that spans connectivity, mobility and media applications.
This session will focus on the product
considerations behind the 802.11n trend. It will discuss how the
leading Wi-Fi silicon vendors are not only addressing the needs of
manufacturers, but also ensuring the optimal user experience for
consumers. The presentation will provide insight into the techniques
that are being used to boost performance of 802.11n systems, while
reducing costs to enable mass adoption of the new technology.
